Even as the proud owner of a Rod Brind'Amour and the almost-owner of a Justin Williams, I've never bought into that whole "buy a sweater, watch the guy get traded" superstitition. But this would really suck.

Ah well.

The St. Pete Times Forum is the loudest building I have ever been in. Should be a great final, though I have a hunch it would have been an even better one had the Flyers been involved -- meaning, I think Tampa gets it done in six or five. The return of Cullimore is huge for them.

I'm gonna stay on quasi-hiatus here at least until the league meetings.

Guess who?: I kind of directed it with my skate and then I thought, 'Oh, don't go in. I wanted it to go in, but I didn't want it to go in, because I was thinking, 'They are going to review it, and it's going to be disallowed.' And all of a sudden, it kept coming across the crease, and I was coming out the other side, and I got an easy whack at it. And I was excited.

Paul Vincent's hanging in there (though it looks like his team is going to get swept by Idaho). Nice to hear he and his father are back on good terms; when I ran into Paul Sr. at a Rampage game in December of '02 he talked about his son the same way Don McKee probably did.

The NHL on NBC, with no money to the league up front... just like Arena Football.

Today I'm telling myself that the last time Ken Hitchcock won the Stanley Cup, his team was down 3-2 in the Conference Finals. But I fear the Flyers just don't have enough left health-wise. Of course, no one is more hurt than Calgary.

"Orlando Couple Makes 3-Hour Drive For ECHL Finals"? Bully for them, but that's a nothing trip in our league!

Yup, the Eric Lindros Philly hockey fans have waited for the past 10 years has finally materialized: Keith Primeau.

Tomorrow is another day, but ugh. Can't they just disguise Eric Weinrich (or Therien) in a number 28 jersey? Of course, the unheralded Lightning blue line has been without Cullimore this whole time.
